Blue Kyanite and multi-color Fordite dangle earrings. Smooth oval Kyanite gems are paired with colorful Fordite, the stones are nestled in fine and sterling silver with a section of the reverse cutout to reveal the Fordite. The earrings dangle from French style earwire.

Dimensions: total length 2 3/4", from top of earwire to bottom of drop; drop is 2" by 5/8" at the widest point

Finish: oxidized and polished

Fordite is automobile paint which is formed from the built up layers of enamel paint overspray on tracks and skids when cars were hand spray painted. The paint has been baked numerous times and has become so hard that it is able to be cut and polished.

These earrings are handcrafted in my studio using traditional metalsmithing techniques.
